Please join us for the opening of Part 3 of Aske Thiberg’s ongoing live exhibition Shutting Out the Sun.
Taking place at 5pm, the event premiers the third part of Thiberg’s show: a performance staging a teenager, seated on a sofa, singing while cued by the exhibition’s “theme song,” a repeating melancholic digitized tune, potentially steering the performing body as its automated avatar.
The vernissage will also include a screening of Thiberg’s 2019 animated video work Now I see things for the way it is at 4.15–4.45pm. As an inspiration or prompt for the performance at O—Overgaden, this earlier digitally animated video displays four teenagers, each isolated, distanced in different rooms, in a musical kammerspiel.
As always, admission to O—Overgaden’s exhibitions is free. As well, we will be offering a glass of wine or a soft drink to attendees.
4.15–4.45pm: Screening: Now I see things for the way it is
5–5.15pm: Performance – Shutting Out the Sun, Part 3.
