The exhibition project Psychopathia Sexualis, curated by Mathias Kryger, presents a performance by Cassie Augusta Jørgensen.

In 1912, the Ballets Russes’ Vaslav Nijinsky shook the Paris of the time when he masturbated on stage at Théâtre du Châtelet while dressed as a faun. 100 years later, artist, chorographer, and dancer Cassie Augusta Jørgensen (b.1991, DK) brings to light Nijinsky’s performance through an artistic remake and continuance that insists on free sexuality.

This performance a part of an afternoon that focuses on Queer / Liberation with painting, literature, and performance. The paintings in Ida Sønder Thorhauge’s exhibition Between Eternity and Time show a dreamlike universe of androgyne figures, and the exhibition Psychopathia Sexualis focuses on (psycho)pathologized sexualities.
