Join us at O—Overgaden when we start the new season with exhibitions by Helene Nymann (DK) and Marie Kølbæk Iversen (DK). The evening will feature a performance by Kølbæk Iversen, exhibition introduction and reading by Nymann, and music by DJ Paydar.
Both exhibitions will unfold the artists’ ongoing PhD projects as large-scale solo shows. O—Overgaden wishes to show how artistic research engages with the world and how it can contribute to highly relevant scientific knowledge. Enjoy two sensuous and thought-provoking exhibitions that question our collective experiences, our notions of time and views of nature – on a planet in ecological crisis inhabited by humans with widely different senses of reality.
17h: Doors open
17.30h: Opening speech by Aukje Lepoutre Ravn, O—Overgaden.
19h: Introduction by Helene Nymann to her exhibition Knots of Echpore, including a reading from her correspondence with writer Siri Hustvedt, which will also be published in full in O—Overgaden’s exhibition publication.
20.19h: Marie Kølbæk Iversen performs the song about Adeluds in her exhibition. The song is part of her upcoming album Donnimaar. O Tilli, containing folk songs from the West Jutlandic Heatlands about merpeople.
DJ Paydar floods the dance floor with groovy tunes and O—Overgaden’s bar serves G&Ts and other cold drinks.
22h: Thank you for coming and have a lovely Friday night!
