Please join us for the opening of the exhibition Paths of Thoughts by Kulturpilot Amager at
O—Overgaden on Friday 13 January, 16–18h.
Beyond the installed exhibition, a live dance performance created specifically for the space at
O—Overgaden will be presented, accompanied by the American musician Steven Jess Borth II.
The exhibition Paths of Thoughts on show in O—Rooom at O—Overgaden from the 13–15 January is a result of a fruitful collaboration between Kulturpilot Amager and O—Overgaden throughout 2022. Young culture pilots have visited the changing exhibitions in the galley, met the artists, worked with different topics, and mediated their experiences into their own art works.
Kulturpilot Amager is a group of 12 children between the ages of 10-15 who work with various forms of art and culture in their local community. They refer to themselves as a group of artists who work together to create art and cultural activities. The project is a part of Børnekulturhus Ama´r, but resides on the premises of Sundby Idrætspark where festivals and other cultural events are created with the aim of engaging children and young adults from the area of Urbanplanen. Kulturpilot Amager is run by designer Maiken Berg, and executive choreographer and dancer/performer My Lindblad Szlavik.
Entry to O—Overgaden is free and everyone is welcome.
