Counting workshop: Calling for children to make new sound art piece with artist Cally Spooner
Calling for kids under the age of 7!
1, 2, 3… How high can you count? Come and join us on Saturday, 23 September, 10am – midday, as we record the sounds of kids counting to make a new sound art piece by international artist Cally Spooner for her new exhibition at O—Overgaden.
Cally Spooner is inviting children before the age of 7 to swing by O—Overgaden and be recorded counting into a microphone.
The recordings will be combined to create a new sound art installation that the whole family can experience soon as part of Spooner’s exhibition at O—Overgaden. The kids’ voices, fussing or cheerfully counting, will form a central part of the exhibition, telling the story of how we are so quickly socialized into society’s metric norms and pace.
Come join us and show off your counting, make art, meet the artist Cally Spooner (she is super sweet), and experience her solo exhibition Duration at O—Overgaden.
We will serve some juice, and there will be sketching tools available for kids and creative souls of all ages.
Admission to O—Overgaden is, as always, free.
