Ellinor Åslund

Ellinor Åslund (b. 1991, SE) transforms existential themes into musical puppet theater using ceramic puppets, music, and scenographic elements. She graduated from the Royal Danish Academy of Fine Arts (2025) and lives and works between Malmö and Copenhagen.

Åslund has recently created a public artwork for Statens Konstråd in Lund (2025) and presented a performance at Jennifee-See Alternate in Copenhagen (2025), as well as exhibited at, among others, Four Boxes Gallery in Skive (2025) and Kunsthal Charlottenborg (2025). She also received the Poul Erik Bech Foundation Art Prize in 2025.

Selina Rom Andersen

Selina Rom Andersen (b. 1996, DK) works across genres and media, from text and drawing to video and theater. Often employing a sarcastic gaze on her immediate surroundings, she creates a fictional universe in which voices and figures are given space to meet in macabre and suicidal, as well as beautiful and humorous, conversations.

Educated at the Jutland Academy of Fine Arts (2021) and the Funen Art Academy (2018), Andersen lives and works in Copenhagen and has previously exhibited at, among others, Æsken, Aarhus (2025); Kunsthal Aarhus (2024); Museum of Contemporary Art Roskilde (2023); Kunsthal Charlottenborg (2022); and Alt_Cph (2018).

Andersen runs the publishing house Forlaget Bandet, through which she regularly publishes the magazine Crazy in Bed. Her comic Modløse (2021) received the Graduation Prize from the Jutland Academy of Fine Arts in 2021.

The exhibitions at O—Overgaden will be Ellinor Åslund and Selina Rom Andersen’s first major institutional solo exhibitions.

With INTRO 2026, O—Overgaden presents the seventh consecutive edition of its custom-fit “post-graduate” program, a 1-year collaboration between two artists and O—Overgaden, focusing on supporting newly graduated visual artists who are tightly connected to the Danish art scene toward sustainable artistic development and international exchange.

Supported by Aage and Johanne Louis-Hansen’s Foundation, INTRO is an extended program—a one-year collaboration with O—Overgaden tailored to the individual artist or group. It includes financial support for production and travel as well as artistic, curatorial, administrative, and technical advice from leading Danish and international voices in the arts. The one-year collaboration culminates in a large solo exhibition at O—Overgaden. The program aims to push at the discussion of “best practice,” exploring how art institutions can best support younger artistic voices.

Previous participants in the O—Overgaden INTRO program include Anna Munk and Kamil Dossar (2025), Villiam Miklos Andersen and Madeleine Andersson (2024), Anne Sofie Mathiassen and Cassie Augusta Jørgensen (2023), Tora Schultz and Isabella Solar Villaseca (2022), Dina El Kaisy Friemuth and Sóley Ragnarsdóttir (2021), and Kim Richard Adler Mejdahl and Iselin Forslund Toubro (2020).

O—Overgaden's INTRO program is made possible thanks to generous, full financial support from the Aage and Johanne Louis-Hansen Foundation.
