Lego-building Workshop at O—Overgaden: Come and Build with Us!

For Culture Night 2026, O—Overgaden invites visitors of all ages to a creative Lego-building workshop inspired by the exhibition IN PROTEST AND IN CARE, which brings together experiences and perspectives from artists living with, among other things, disabilities and chronic illness.
For Culture Night 2026, O—Overgaden invites visitors of all ages to a creative Lego-building workshop inspired by the exhibition IN PROTEST AND IN CARE, which brings together experiences and perspectives from artists living with, among other things, disabilities and chronic illness.
As O—Overgaden is a listed building and is not wheelchair accessible, we will use collective play to build a Lego ramp through the building’s main staircase. The ramp serves as a creative starting point for discussing how accessibility is imagined—and, not least, how it is built.
The project will be realized in collaboration with Magnus Klint Sørensen, architect and winner of the first season of LEGO Masters Denmark, and Maria Gonginger Naps, a researcher, artist, and accessibility activist whose work focuses on disability culture, critical accessibility, and disability history. The project is initiated by visual artist and accessibility activist Anna Walther, one of the exhibiting artists in IN PROTEST AND IN CARE.
Admission to O—Overgaden’s exhibitions is, as always, free.
