TALK | Victor Bengtsson ~ Adam Bencard

Please join us Sunday 4 May at 3pm, when visual artist Victor Bengtsson meets Adam Bencard, researcher and associate professor at Medicinsk Museion, for a conversation about black holes of science, genetically modified lab mice, microbiology, and donuts!

The talk will be moderated by Signe Havsteen, art historian and curator at the Nivaagaard Collection, and marks the completion of Bengtsson’s solo exhibition at O—Overgaden, “Horse droppings are not figs”.

The bar will be open, serving beer and soft drinks.

Entry is free, as is admission to all of O—Overgaden’s exhibitions.

VICTOR BENGTSSON:
(b. 1997, DK) is a self-taught artist holding a BA in medicine (2019-2023) who lives and works in Copenhagen. He has exhibited at venues including Mendes Wood DM (São Paulo, 2021, New York, 2022, Brussels, 2023); Public Gallery, London (2024); East Contemporary Gallery, Milan (2021); and Someday Gallery, NYC (2024). The exhibition at O—Overgaden is Bengtsson's first institutional solo show.

SIGNE HAVSTEEN:
is a PhD student at the University of Copenhagen and a curator at the Nivaagaard Collection.
