Performative Dinner & Collective Reading ~ Kasper Hesselbjerg, Fabula, Fra ord til tallerken & restauranten FAR

This autumn, Fabula, in collaboration with restaurant FAR, Fra ord til tallerken, and Kasper Hesselbjerg, invites you to three performative dinners with collective reading sessions. The events are facilitated by Fra ord til tallerken and take their starting point in visual artist Kasper Hesselbjerg’s work Kawaii organrelationsuppe.
The evening begins with a guided collective reading, which develops into a performative dinner prepared and served by restaurant FAR. Kasper Hesselbjerg’s work is a text-based piece combining a recipe and an essay – specifically, a recipe for chicken soup made for someone who is ill, focusing on the functions and cultural meanings of the organs. For instance, does compassion reside in the heart, and how do we listen to our gut feeling?
The text explores care and our connection to the world around us and to those with whom we share it. Together, we invite you to an evening of new taste experiences and conversations about our food cultures.
The events are part of Kasper Hesselbjerg’s contribution to the group exhibition IN PROTEST AND IN CARE at O – Overgaden (29 August – 25 October 2026).
All food served is vegetable-based and vegetarian.
