Join us on Thursday, 27 November, 5–7pm, when O—Overgaden marks the publication of the books Hvad skal vi gøre med vores hjerne? (What Should We Do with Our Brain?) and Den udviskede nydelse. Klitoris og tænkning (Pleasure Erased), both translations of works by French philosopher Catherine Malabou (b. 1959).
This is the first time Malabou’s texts are presented in Danish. Both books are translated by Peter Borum, edited by Kasper Hesselbjerg and Anne Kølbæk Iversen, and published by the artist-run press emancipa(t/ss)ionsfrugten.
At the launch, the books and Malabou’s thinking on “the clitoral” will be presented in a conversation between the editors and Frida Sandström.
The books will be available at a special launch price.
