BENEFIT ART SALE 2023

O—Overgaden is honored to once again this year host Benefit Art Sale—an initiative by artists Melanie Kitti and Kinga Bartis.

Lasts year, the Benefit Art Sale raised more than 100.000 DKK in support of Amnesty International Denmark and their work for women in Iran with more than 100 artworks, donated by a plethora of contemporary artists, sold anonymously for 1000DKK each. This year, artists Melanie Kitti and Kinga Bartis focus the Benefit Art Sale on supporting the civilian population in Palestine.

The doors to the Benefit Art Sale 2023 open at 11am on Saturday 16 December—sales are on a first-come-first-served basis.

Practical Information

  • All works, which have been donated by more than 100 contemporary artists, will be sold anonymously for 1,000 DKK.

  • Payment is via MobilePay only.

  • Doors open at 11am when a maximum of 10 people at a time will be led accompanied by an Art Sale volunteer.

  • Please note that between 11am and 1pm, or as long as there is a line, each visitor is limited to buying a maximum of two artworks.

  • Do please come back later, when this restriction will no longer apply. Typically, there are artworks available up until the sale closes at 5pm.

  • The names of all artists will be published after the event via the Benefit Art Sale IG @benefitartsale.

  • Please note that it is not allowed to resell works bought at Benefit Art Sale.

In the reception at O—Overgaden, there will be a benefit book sale by Det Lilla Rum as well as new special edition Benefit Art Sale T-shirts (300 DKK each).

You can buy coffee or hot drinks from our downstairs neighbors with a 10% discount (if you let them know you are an O—Overgaden visitor).

Read more and find images of the artworks donated via Benefit Art Sale’s platform on Instagram HERE continuously up until the event.

Thank you so much to Melanie Kitti and Kinga Bartis for this initiative.
