Join us when poet and performance artist Zahna Siham Benamor hosts a writing workshop at O—Overgaden in collaboration with Jihaan Yussuf. The workshop is based on Benamor and Yussuf’s own work in writing forth their voices, and for this event they will read from their own texts and facilitate various writing exercises. 

The event takes place in connection with the current exhibition The False Rose of Jericho, created by Benamor in collaboration with painter Apolonia Sokol. During the exhibition period, a series of writing workshops organized by Benamor will make room for new voices at the art gallery – including yours.

The texts created by participants at this workshop will (if agreed to) become part of a collective text to be edited by Benamor and Sofia Cerqueira and published, after the exhibition, as a collective work that testifies to the voices and stories for which the exhibition is continuously a platform.

This workshop takes place at O—Overgaden and is presented as part of Christianshavn’s Book Festival.

Admission is free and open to everyone; no registration is required.
