Join us on Friday 24 May at 5-9 pm for the opening of the new exhibition Impaired Erotics by the young LA-based artist Panteha Abareshi at O—Overgaden.
In arresting sculptural and filmic gestures, Panteha Abareshi (US, 1999, they/them) employs the experience of living in a chronically ill body, unpicking the associated stigma in their visual arts practice as well as scholarly writing.
During the evening, you can hear Abareshi talk about their practice, in a conversation with O—Overgaden’s leader Rhea Dall.
The bar will be open serving cold refreshments – beer, wine and water.
Program:
17.00 – Impaired Erotics opens
17.30 – Panteha Abareshi in conversation with Rhea Dall
21.00 – Thank you and goodnight
Accessibility:
Currently O—Overgaden offers wheelchair access through its main entrance with a mobile stair climber, while working on obtaining permission to install a permanent stairlift to O—Overgaden’s listed building. O—Overgaden has four manual wheelchairs available for use at the opening and the first week of the exhibition period (25 May–2 June). Read more about the accessibility on O—Overgaden’s websitehere.
