In this solo exhibition Hannah Anbert puts the modern working life under critical scrutiny. To what extent does the mantra of speed, performance, and profit of industrial culture make sense in a time where the resources of the earth are scarce and stress has become a public disease? In a series of new sculptural installations, the artist explores the contemporary acceleration doctrine and turns our usual distinction between productive and recreational activities upside down.
How we are shaped and act as individuals in society is a recurrent motif in Jan S. Hansen’s artistic work. In this major solo show, he follows this trajectory in a series of new works which together form a synthetic environment full of surreal arrangements, doings, and situations.
