A Completely Normal Exhibition
For the first time, Overgaden is presenting a completely normal exhibition. An average number of artists have been asked to contribute normal works aimed at a broad general audience. The exhibition will endeavour to remain within the bounds of the normal, including both what is considered normal from an artistic point of view, and the normal as it is generally regarded.

At the exhibition, we will thus seek to answer a number of common questions, including ‘Who are the ordinary people?’, ‘Who keeps Denmark going?, and ‘Who was it that really ran naked across the stage said "pling"?’ At the same time, A Completely Normal Exhibition reveals how the fabled artistic life is actually lived, both inside and outside working hours, and before and after the often sudden fame accorded by death.

The participating artists are Adel Abidin (FI), Forlaget * [Asterisk] (by Lasse Krog Møller & Anders Visti) (DK), Catti Brandelius (S), Das Beckwerk (DK), Stig Brøgger (DK), Matias Faldbakken (N), Marianne Heier (N)/Marco Vaglieri (I), Peter Holst Henckel (DK), Ulla Hvejsel (DK), Thomas Kvam (DK), Pernille With Madsen (DK), Albert Mertz (DK), Jørgen Michaelsen (DK) and Anders Visti (DK). The exhibition is curated by Kathrine Bolt Rasmussen and Cecilie Høgsbro Østergaard.
